The Circuit Clerk is responsible for maintaining complete and accurate records of the court. These records include all Civil, Criminal, Probate, Domestic, and Juvenile cases filed in Iron County.
Some of the duties of the Court Clerk are to receive, process, and preserve judgments, rulings, orders, and all other proceedings of the court, both manually and electronically; collect and disburse court costs and fines; maintain court case files in an accurate and complete manner; keep the Court schedule of trials and hearings; maintain the jury pool and summon jurors; and provide staff assistance to the Judges.
There have been many changes to the way court business is conducted, due to the recent COVID-19 pandemic. The court is making every effort to help prevent the spread of the virus and keep litigants safe in the court setting. Many concerns can be addressed on an individual, case by case basis.
Masks are not required, but are encouraged if you or a loved one are at risk.
Any time a person is scheduled to appear and has health/medical issues that need to be brought to a Judge’s attention, please notify the court in advance. In most instances, a medical excuse/doctor note is required.
This includes case information and scheduled hearing dates on Case.net; Court forms that are available; making online payments on pending/disposed cases; juror information; and much more.
